Thank You For This Journey | Saturday, June 20, 2015

Hi guys!

I have an announcement to make at the end of this post but before that let me talk about my 'blogging' journey.

Encouraged by Jielin, I started this blogging thing when I was in secondary school. When I first started typing online, it was mostly about bitchy friendships, relationshits, and all those lame stuff that all teenagers go through. Do you still remember iloveliting.blogspot.com? LOL omg it's so embarrassing. I remember my ex-bf told me that when his friends ask him for my blog url, they thought he was obsessed over me LOL.

As the blogging scene matures, the blog content matures as well. I talked lesser and lesser about my personal life and one day I just decided to not talk about it at all. I believe you guys know that I'm really into photography. That's the only thing in my life that I will never get bored of. I then decided to change the url to 'thedecemberchild' for a new direction. It's all good! But... I'm getting old.
At the age of 22, I finally feel that the 'child' no longer fits me. HAHA. Yes, it's getting embarrassing again (why do I always chose embarrassing URLs?!).

This time round, I'm going to quit this space and move over to Tumblr. I think it's not only about the changing of URL but I'm also trying to create my portfolio. Thank you to those who have been following this humble space. I hope to show you better photos at MoodOnHighway.tumblr.com.

Thank you for this journey!

With love,
Lemon

These are the cafes I visited in Taichung except the Agnes b cafe in Taipei which is a must-visit! The last cafe is up on a hill with really nice night scenery but the desserts suck so bad. I'm sorry that I forgot to take note of the cafes' names and address but there are lots of cafes in Taiwan so feel free to explore. I fell in love with Agnes b cafe the previous time I visited Taiwan and it still remains as my fav :D

Anastasia By Raine Lookbook | Thursday, May 21, 2015

Did a shoot with Raine, the maker behind the brand AnastasiaByRaine some time back. Fyi, Raine holds a day job as a lecturer and she recently decided to be an entrepreneur after office hours. What impressed me the most is that her objective is not to make money but for her passion in fashion and design. Her first collection, Desirette Fringeon sling clutch, is 100% designed and handmade by her. I have seen some local designers who sell their stuff at a very high price but not for Raine. She sell her hard work at a VERY AFFORDABLE price, yet not compromising quality. When I first heard about it, I thought it was too good to be true. You really need to check them out for yourself and do support her!

Check out their Instagram @anastasiabyraine for more visuals and cart out over at http://anastasiabyraine.co on 29 May 2015. As for now, you can join their pre-launch contest (up to $100 worth of products) JUST BY FILLING IN YOUR NAME & EMAIL! Omg? How simple is that?!
Faster click over to http://contest.anastasiabyraine.co! Good luck!

The City's Loneliness | Saturday, April 18, 2015

Proudly presenting to you my first photo essay. Took the Still Imaging module from NIE this sem and I'm so glad! I'm pretty sure it will be my fav module throughout my uni life. That's mainly because Mr Tan who teaches this module is so humorous and... Singaporean! This is an almost stress-free module and allows you to freely express yourself in any way. We presented our work today and was feeling a little emotional before the final submission of my work. I kept flipping through my photos because I put in 100% effort in making this series and it's kind of sad that we have come to the end.
The best thing about art module is that I do not have to prepare scripts for my presentation. In fact, all I did was created this video and talk a little bit about my concept when shooting them. If you are a NTU student, I seriously recommend you to take this elective. NO REGRETS.

There are two people I would like to thank for making this possible. Wei Loke for accompanying to the abandoned school to get the first shot and my bf who has been very supportive, driving me to places to get photos. Xie Xie!!

Do view this video in HD. It will look so much better. And let me know what you think about it!
The photos will be posted up on http://www.facebook.com/moodofsingapore and instagram @moodofsg.
