On this day last year, I was left heartbroken under the fireworks alone. I thought this year would also be the same as Ace was stuck in the jam. Thankfully, he made it in time just 10 minutes before the clock strikes 12. There were many ups and downs in this relationship. My friends would know. Can't remember how many huge quarrels we had and every time we almost lost each other. Amazingly, we are still stuck with each other. Although we have been together for 3 years plus, this year is our first time celebrating new year together. He said this year is exceptionally special because we spent 13 and 14 together (means forever in Chinese). Cheesy but I like it hahaha. The road ahead may get tougher but I know we now have the maturity to solve any problems. I hardly blog about my relationship so here's a short paragraph for the first post in 2014.

My greatest accomplishment in 2013 was getting into university. Although I am forever complaining about school on twitter, a part of me is thankful for being accepted. I am really lucky to have secured a place because unlike others who applied for every school, I only applied for one. Simply because I absolutely hate the paperwork that I need to do. Although I was disappointed that I did not manage to get my ideal course, I am also thankful for it because I don't think I can survive in that course. I am also thankful that I found a friend in uni that I know I can keep for life. This friendship is a rare gem and I will definitely treasure it and protect it. I lost a relative last year and it was a wake up call for me. I have learnt to treasure my family more and the biggest change in me was my attitude towards my mum. We can now communicate without quarreling.

My new year's resolutions - To be a better daughter, a better friend and a better me.
